Election Results

Election day was yesterday at the Chapter and the turn out was fair.

As the gravel sounded to start the membership meeting it also closed the polls and the election committee went into a closed door meeting to count the ballots.

Only two candidates where running opposed.  That was Senor Vice Commander and Junior Vice Commander.

The Chairman returned to the meeting room and reported that Ed Bejarano was to be the new Senior Vice Commander and Kevin G. Cooper was our new Junior Vice Commander.  The Commander then ordered the ballots to be destroyed and disbanded the committee.

The Installation of all new officers will be held on 25 June 2011 at 1700 hrs. IAW our by-laws.  It is open to all members of Chapter 20 and it would be nice to see a great turn out.

Department Picnic

Well the weatherman gave us a rainy, wet, cold day for our picnic.  At about 1100, the Commander made the decision to have the picnic at the Chapter Home.

Everyone that came to the park was informed that the picnic was at the Chapter Home and will the weather as bad as it was, the turn out was very good.

A big thanks to Lori and Kevin for cooking the hot dog and burgers.

There was the train set up in the parking lot in the rear of the building and the children seemed to like the Train.

At 2PM the Bar-B-Que was delivered and there was a good choice of Chicken, Pork or Beef Brisket, beans and potato salad.  The JROTC did the busing of the tables and served the main course.  Their assistance was priceless and with out them the picnic would not have been as successful.

We had some speed bums on our way to a successful picnic and yet it came off with all the people I talked to having a good time and enjoyed the food.
